About Us & Our Manifesto

DAT is a collective blog run by a group of the aforementioned disillusioned angry teens. Newspapers are founded for profit. They sell stories. We are a non-profit organisation. We want to tell the truth.

DAT has 3 main aims and objectives:

  1. To provide a news outlet with first hand accounts and interesting commentary, where content is easy to find and free from the outrageously biased reporting we see in the conventional press.
  2. We want to provide an insight from a young person’s point of view.
  3. We want to prove that actually, teenagers aren’t lazy, apathetic and stupid. We’re smart, we’re organised, and we are not afraid to fight for what we believe in.

We want the government to stop lying to us. We have lost faith in the major political parties. We have lost faith in the police. Those who have power and authority have betrayed us. We want to remind the government that they work for us. We are the next generation of voters – and we’re not pleased.

DAT is based solely on the principles of co-operation and collaboration. All decisions are discussed first, and only agreed unanimously.

We welcome submissions and love hearing from you!
If you’re interested in writing for us, have any suggestions or requests for posts or just general feedback, email disillusionedangryteens@hotmail.co.uk

Viva la revolution.
